Default ATI gains chipset orders from major manufacturers

ATI has received orders from major notebook and motherboard manufacturers for their Radeon IGP 340 chipset. Read the full story at DigiTimes. Thanks Justin (Wunderchu).
According to sources, ATI obtained its first victory in the notebook sector, where it also dominates with its notebook-use graphics chips. ATI recently landed orders for its integrated chipsets from one US-based notebook heavyweight, whose products will be manufactured by Quanta and Arima. The amount of the orders is around 200,000 units, most of which are the Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Athlon-supporting Radeon IGP 320M chipsets. Shipments will last from May through August.
