PD0 really isn't looking that great.

It will probably be a fun game, but it just doesn't LOOK great.

Yeah I don't have much enthusiam about PD0 either

but I am excited for:

CoD2 - more than PC version, since my PC can't even run it in DX9
Ghost Recon: AW - I love the future warrior program and how it was used in 2, and curious/excited to see it in full effect in this http://www.military.com/soldiertech/...rrior,,00.html
Gears of War - Visually its arresting, but it looks to take a page from the Kill.switch gameplay book, and intergrating "stop and pop" and "blindfire" shooting.
Splinter Cell 4 - Love the franchise, so of course looking forward to this one
Oblivion - glad they are still saying this game WILL make x360 launch. It still looks to be mind blowing

.......of course, I won't be playing any of these games till next year when I plan on getting the new system. I'm still very much enamored with my current gen consoles (there still so many good games to look forward too!)and am not buying into the hype........its cheaper that way

Big woop. As a high end PC gamer and former Xbox Gamer (Still use the system it's self to run homebrew stuff ). I know very well that the graphics high wears off very quickly (why do you think many PC gamers feel the need to improve their graphics even if they alredy have the best stuff ? ) . In the end all these games are nothing more than dust collectors.

As far as PD:0 is concerned, there is a very good video where it show the latest build in game and lots of physics - I will try to find it now. It looks much better in that video than the link here.

Why not go post in the PC gaming forum then...

Usually, people who like console games, post in console game forums.

It isn't a hard concept to understand.

To be honest, those videos kinda blow. Seriously, the quality don't justify
going to HD at all. I think better quality *DIRECT-FEED* videos need to be
released as I really don't get a charge out of any of them. PD0, for example,
really didn't look too hot at all. Gotham looked a lot more like a regular
XBOX game and such. I'm surprised we don't see fully direct-feed HD quality
videos, especially considering this is the big X05 event. Look at how great
the videos were for E3!

i agree with you, a lot of the games don't look THAT much better than xbox or high-end PCs graphics

an exception is gears of war...but other games for the most part don't look that good graphics wise...

perhaps its the quality of the video...

I'd have to say Gears Of War, Oblivion and Kameo look pretty good as far as graphics are concerned. It's all up to the developers and they engines they use I guess just like PC games. Unreal 3 engine is surely a good choice for next gen games as it does seem alot more impressive than some of the other stuff out there being utilized. Hopefully we'll see CryEngine 2 being used.
If a developer is just going to use some half assed engine and not tap the power of the console then you just aren't going to get an impressive looking game. It is the first wave of games and it will take more time to crank out better looking stuff or at least I hope that's what it is.
