From what I understand, more than one person has the code and is able to get the latest updates to it when ever they want. Sounds to me like this guy knows someone from the inside pretty damn well and the guy inside is airing some dirty laundry.

That or this is all a ploy to try and bring in more EvE users.

even if the server source code was leaked aswell there wouldnt be any free servers.

i doubt its possible with how eve server cluster is different parts of the cluster run different areas of the game so its like one big world split across loads of computers.

eve-online has the most powerful server cluster out of all the mmo's and they even use solid state disks because ssci drives werent fast enough

1.) It was just the client code.

2.) This person is some attention whore who doesn't understand that parts of the client are written in python so that it can be decomplied with no problems to apply changes. The stuff in the client that wont change is compiled in C++.

3.) The decompled portions of the client have absolutely no effect on the game and the important parts dealing with the game itself are handled server side not client side.

4.) The most this idiot can do with his "source code" is create a bot/macro program which is a day late and a dollar short.

5.) CCP devs are laughing their asses off at some moron who just discovered how to decomple a program partially written in python and who now thinks he is some "ub3r hacking god". Depending on where this guy is located he can expect some legal issues for trying to blackmail CCP and violating the DMCA.
