I like the recent Terry Makedon article, in particular Fusion's future role in CrossfireX.. I read it (doubful .. so I'm hopeful) that Fusion will be able to act as an APU to accelerate CrossfireX among different GPU configurations even between differing generations... or so I hope. ;-)

I think the author has some mis-conceptions about certain things, namely Itanium and Fusion. Otherwise it's not bad for a Tom's piece.

Actaully the (future) Fusion part sounds interesting and I thought the part about Torrenza was interesting and could have sworn that was AMD's original plan for Fusion. I remember a few years back reading about a 3rd party co-processor that plugged into a dual socket AMD mobo along side an Opteron.
