![]() Is there any way to play RE1 on the PC? I used to have it for the Playstation, but I sold it years ago. I believe there was a Windows 95 PC-CDROM of RE1 released, but don't know if it works, or where to get it from...? Cheers, Ben.

![]() Maybe buy the playstation version again and use epsxe? It'll look better and easier to setup than the win 95 version I reckon. |

![]() Why did Capcom think controlling a person in 3d space should feel like driving a tank? I just got Re: Zero Wii remake and man I frak'n hate it. Its even worse on the wii. Sorry had to hijack your thread to vent on my frustration with RE franchise.

The PS1 era Tomb Raiders were the same way. However, from the same era, Mario 64, in it's brilliance, had camera-relative controls and set the standard for handling 3D movement correctly. In fairness, part of the reason for character-relative controls in early PS1 games was a controller limitation - the original Playstation controllers only had a D-pad at that point. Good camera-relative movement pretty much demands analog control. However, that the PS1 developers still stuck with the same movement scheme after the Dual Shock came out was a big mistake. Anyway, I find it pretty much unbearable to go back and play a characater-relative game these days. Tried replaying Tomb Raider 2 about three years back and I couldn't deal with it past the 3rd level. Last edited by Sweetz : Dec 24, 2010 at 10:40 PM. |
