![]() AMD prices went up as well recently so not sure we are seeing much in the way of competition. Its a sellers market.

![]() Prices for everything, not just electronics, have gone up. The shipping supply chains are completely fubared right now. To the level that large companies like Walmart, Target and Costco are chartering their own container ships so they can try and get around the massive backlogs at major ports.

![]() the real news is that 40% increase leak was on windows 11 which we now know has a core optimization issue with amd costing 15% performance so that 40% just became 25% and with the new amd 3d cache chips coming up with more optimizations you are looking at a likely ~15% gain which still puts intel in the lead but not by a whole heck of a lot and I have a feeling that once we see real numbers that will shrink further.

![]() Will know soon enough, doesn't sound as great as Intel makes it out to be, but that is normal for Intel, and I really don't care if I get 600FPS instead of 550FPS in CS:GO. ![]() https://www.notebookcheck.net/Window....571096.0.html From same site, could be we are getting a lot of hyperbole from Intel. ![]() Completely from memory and outta my ars. Nov 4th release? Wasn't the whole point of Win11 to get the whole big.little thing working properly? It wasn't supposed to work optimized in Win10.

![]() I'm expecting these to be... whelming? So not all that impressive for enthusiast and really not that bad overall. While also being expensive for what they are and not really available. Intel doesn't have allot of 10nm capacity and demand is sky high.

![]() All-core OC started to die with 10th gen. It's an archaic way of doing things .. wouldn't expect ADL to respond well to an all-core especially with the way the chip is designed. I do think the chip will be power-hungry. Hopefully we can run direct-die easily and it won't be an issue. |

![]() Yeh with my 11th gen it's all about turbo frequencies and ABT. A manual all core OC doesn't produce great results as you leave a good chunk of performance on the table when all cores are not in use, which is the vast majority of cases. Currently have mine at 5.4 (2c), 5.3 (4c), and 5.1 all core, but that goes up by 1 multi to 5.5, 5.4, 5.2, if ABT requirements are met (power & temp) which is often the case. 12th gen is likely similar when it comes to OC

![]() I think the turbo ratio will work much better with ADL + Win11 as currently you rarely see the low thread/high core speeds due to enough background processes not allowing it to happen. With the Big Little, all Window processes should be assigned to the little cores allowing the 16 big threads to properly scale with load. |

![]() Oh I see the opposite, cores are boosting to low thread speeds almost all of the time. 5.4 is typical.

![]() Are you looking at effective clocks? Because when using Dynamic ratios, the old way of viewing clocks/ratio aren't accurate. I rarely ever see 5.3Ghz when I had my 10900K set with a ratio OC |

![]() Yeh in HWinfo. Practically the only app or game at all core turbo is cinebench or prime.

![]() Interesting. I should try Turbo Ratio OCing now that I'm on Win11. Maybe it's scheduling more efficiently, or Rocket Lake is simply assigning itself better than Comet Lake does through SpeedStep. |

![]() 12900K and KF are very competitively priced .. not awful at all. The motherboards are looking insane, though. ASUS APEX is looking to be over $600.. not really Intel's fault, since ASUS has jacked prices up on every product over the past year. I'm still considering going ADL but I don't know yet. I need to see if we can de-lid and run direct-die as well as what DDR5 sticks will be decent overclockers. |

![]() Looking forward to more benches. I especially wonder if the ecores can be used in games alongside the pcores or if its just something that they switch to for low level stuff like desktop... Id think they would at least perform as well as a hyperthread. Its the first time since celeron 300a, the last time I had an intel system, that Im considering switching...

![]() In november 2021 only the 12900k will be available for at least 600 euros in retail.Z690 will be around 200 euros the cheapest one.... https://wccftech.com/heres-where-you...-1700-coolers/

![]() Those ROG boards certainly are expensive but geez they look great. 12700k looks like a good chip, I'm sure 4 e-cores is plenty for a gaming rig. Don't see the point in shelling out more money just for e-cores on the 12900k.
