Planetside 2 patch includes more performance and UI improvements
A new update has launched for shooter Planetside 2, and it again includes some significant performance improvements, in addition to UI tweaks.
The performance bits affect objects in Esamir, physics (player and vehicles), animation, GUI-related spikes, and the loadout screen. In any situation involving any of these elements, you may notice better framerates and/or lower frame time latency. Additionally, some client crashes have been fixed, initial continent map loading is faster, and VSync is enabled regardless of whether you're in windowed or fullscreen mode.
As for the UI, capture progress bars now update more often and you can sort some social screens by rank and name, in addition to numerous other small changes.
In terms of non-technical changes, you get a major balance overhaul to what looks like most aspects of the game, if not all.
Hit the source if you want all the details; boot the game now to grab the patch.
