Doom 3 SUCKS ARSE

major let down.

Games are supposed to be fun and entertaining not frustrating.

I installed a mod to get the flashlight on my shotgun but it caused tooo many crashes so I uninstalled both the mod and game.

I am pissed cause I pre-ordered this POS.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it.... glad I'm one of the seemingly few people that are loving it! Yes its horror survival, so its tense, dark, claustraphobic and I can't play for longer than about an hour at a time... but damn it has done that well!

Of course, when I want to relax... I play a bit of FarCry... can't say D3 is relaxing!

I'm not really sure what people were expecting... it seems to be exactly what was promised.

Anyway, here's hoping HL2 lives up to the hype

People are pretty stupid if they expected anything else from Doom 3, heck I remember some lamer on these forums flamed me when I said Doom3 will be all small ass rooms and serious sam like action with no AI, but whatever. I like it, well worth the 30$ I payed, still play it sometime and MP is fun to for a change in LAN parties.

I dont know why people continually complain about the flashlight. I thought it was cool and added to gameplay. They pretty much explained it in the storyline by saying in one of the PDAs "due to the recent power fluctuations all personel will be required to carry flashlights."

I mean its not that hard to use, just hotkey it. The damn flashlight key even toggles the previous weapon you were holding. Add to that that the AI in Doom3 is basically just the monsters chasing you its easy to drag them into a lighted spot to fight them.

People complaining about the flashlight are just lousy gameplayers IMO.

Indeed the AI isn't anything amazing,although i'd love to see (a mod perhaps??) for tweaking the AI.Especially making the Imps climbing walls and choosing different paths to chase you.........but that won't happen

.Apart from that the game was simply beyond words.The atmosphere and the feeling was amazing,frightening as hell.The best horror game by far.Simply play it night with the lights off and especially max the sound volume.As for the graphics.......some complained about the "boxy-heads".There is a mod which fixes it and as for the textures,i didn't really mind.The lightning was perfect and the physics of the game are amazing.There is also a mod to admire the physics as the monsters won't disappear after you kill them.Finally for the flashlight thing........i didn't mind AT ALL.In fact i liked it,it was a good idea.And don't forget the awesome computers which can be read and also be used in real-time
