Default Ben Affleck to play Batman in the Superman & Batman team up

Uh... what?

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/08/...f-steel-sequel

Quote:
“Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman," added director Synder. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”

“We are so thrilled that Ben is continuing Warner Bros.’ remarkable legacy with the character of Batman," continued Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution President Sue Kroll. He is a tremendously gifted actor who will make this role his own in this already much-anticipated pairing of these two beloved heroes."
Apparently he impressed Warner Bros with his portrayal of the Daredevil. That superhero movie rocked the box offices. Hopefully they'll cast Jennifer Garner as Lois Lane and Danny DeVito as the Penguin... oh wait...

Affleck as Batman? This will ruin not only the new Batman franchise, but the new Superman franchise as well.

Edit: Guess I'll pass on this. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but honestly Bale knocked that role out of the park. He's the best Batman ever.

He can act. His last few movies have been pretty solid, starting with Hollywoodland. But this is not going to make the fans of the character very happy. Not until a preview comes out at least.

I guess youre right, when i think back the movies the earlier movies he starred in actually sucked balls and it wasnt just because he was acting. His latest movies where actually decent, so i guess there is some hope.

I'm keeping an open mind about this--for now, at least. Ben's certainly a right-field type of choice, but so was Michael Keaton back in the day. And, ultimately, we've still got Zack Snyder and David Goyer to contend with...

Maybe they'll take a page out of MS's book and revert the Affleck decision. Majority of the comments I've read have been soooo negative.

Such a bad choice.
