![]() Finally, X-mas I will be completing my system upgrade! New stuff: AMD Athlon XP2500+ (1.83GHz) Barton 333FSB Retail Asus® A7N8X-X, Socket A, NVidia® nFORCE2-400 DDR400(PC3200) 256MB RAM Will be added to old stuff: Ati radeon 8500 64mb ddr retail Maxtor 60Gb 7200 rpm ata 133 Aopen 40x12x48 Now, I have a few questions, since my video board is by ati, and the chipset on the new motherboard is the nFORCE2-400, is there any known problems with this setup? and secondly if the CPU is from the newer batch, does that mean regardless to what chipset the mother board has, it is multiplier locked, and thats that, nothing can be done exect FSB overclocking?.... Thanks in advance for your input. |

![]() Provided that it is not an nForce2 motherboard with the GeForce4 MX onboard video, it will be absolutely fine - plenty of people have Athlon with nForce2 and a Radeon... Yes, if the CPU is from a newer batch your ONLY option, regardless, is FSB overclocking...
