The only upsides are large amount of XP for leveling as whatever is killed by whoever, you get salt, and if you’re near an obelisk (bonfire) you can refresh your stock without losing any ground.

The other gripe is that some of the platforming requires pixel perfect, timed perfect jumps/reactions.

Some design in the game is decent, but quite a bit is poor.

Found Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason (2009) on an old hard drive and copied + activated it on my new PC. Was surprised that the server was online and that it worked on windows 10 with no issues.

Some versions of cryostasis used starforce or securom with limited activations, there is no guarantee that the drm server will still be up in 2022.

The final boss in that whole freaking nightmare game was the easiest one in the entire thing.
