![]() Looks like Duke Nukem Forever is actually in production!! Just in time to attract a generation of gamers who've never heard of it... Yes, folks, it's still alive and kicking - everyone's favorite vaporware is "in full production" according to George Broussard, co-founder of 3D Realms. In an interview with 1up, towards the end, Broussard chats about the status of Duke Nukem Forever, the unfortunately-apt title to the game over a decade in development. Hail to the King, baby! ![]() Since this has been in production for ten years, I must ask, exactly what can people expect? I really really doubt modern development tools were avaliable back then and that they could have predicted how amazingly powerful graphics cards are today as back then a 20% performance improvement would sell a card. Now it takes a 100% performance improvement. Is there any possibility that this could be less stunning than the games we have now? |

I remember watching a tailer for duke nukem forever back when i was about 18 I think using the first unreal engine, looked cool, I still wonder why it never appeared. Bah it'll never appear. DNF will end up being a rehash of duke nukem 3D. Oh any one noticed the duke nukem forever three letter acronym (tla) has two meanings (DNF) 1) Duke Nukem Forever 2) Did Not Finish

![]() Yes! Thank you. I was just wondering the same thing right now. These people have not done anything worthwhile in a long time. They released DNMP, a mild release at best. They published Remedy's Max Payne games, how much could they have personally gained from those in the past 6 years? They made a bunch of pointless ports and mobile games. Nothing to provide numerous incomes for the past one and half decades. They must have day jobs. Seriously, I keep wondering what it's like over there, do they go to work in the morning, sit at their systems all day long working on DNF and go home late? Do they work at McDonald's and fiddle around with DNF every now and then? Meh, they're stuck in an endless loop, they take too long, what they have gets outdated, they scrap it and start again with a new engine. They need a new PM to press Ctrl+C.
