Weird blocking problem?

Within the last 24 hours or so I haven't been able to connect to several forum sites I normally use, I just get 'page cannot be displayed'
I can connect to most other sites, including here, so I thought it may be a firewall rule that had been created, or a blocked sites list on it, after disabling the firewall for no change, and checking the wireless router for blocked IP's, no joy.

I then connected to my other wireless network - an old 1MG line in the workshop, on this, with the same laptop, I can connect to all the sites

Any ideas?

Hmm, I can also connect using a proxy, any know if some of the forums use IP ban lists perhaps?

afaik, you will still be able to see the site and some content even if they banned you. it sounds more like a dns problem with your router, or a bad routing table.

in all honesty, though, i have no clue.

Managed to get my IP changed by my ISP (on dynamic), and it's all sorte, all I can think if is perhas that IP has gone on some of the filter lists for some reason.
