I was able to preload through ubi+. Been playing for the past hour. If farcry is your thing, this game is tight! Definitely grab hd texture pack.

The internet is saying that the texture pack actually needs 11GB of vram, if you have 10 or less, you will have some texture streaming issues, but no performance penalty.

Texture pack with all settings on ultra at 1440p - only using a little under 6gb of vram according to the game *shrugs*.

I believe this is the same nonsense from the last AMD sponsored game. Put it 1GB over the Nvidia Card and make it look like you need a new AMD card with 12GB.

Looks like more of the same although now it is the lowest rated mainline Far Cry game so far. Strange that Primal has a lower rating though, that game is underrated hugely.

Good thing I only paid $15 for it (Ubi+). I'm sure I'll have my fun with it and move on. The last Far Cry game I actually finished all the way through was 3.

This is the no-brainer way of doing it as far as I can tell. FC 6 Ultimate is $120 right now. Just pay the $15 or even $30 if you're slow and cancel it out after you're done. By the time you want to replay FC 6, FC 7 will be out, if not FC 11. And even considering that. If you really really really want to digitally own it after finishing it on Ubi+, it will eventually be on sale or given away for free.

Only tried the benchmark so far, but have everything on Ultra at 1440P and it seemed to stick around 60 for the most part. The only annoying thing is the stupid popup in the top right of the screen whining about running out of VRAM

The game claims all these settings should only be using 5.78GB of VRAM (turning off HD textures only lowers it by 1GB).
