help with shenue 1 for dreamcast regarding ingame time/clock.

In shenmue 1 for the dreamcast, rather then taking the long route back home through the citys to sleep so the time can hurry up, is there another way to make the time move faster?

nope. as far as I know when I played the game a year ago. what I would do was just put the controller down and come back 30minutes later to make time go by.

If its a story event such as "meet someone at 1:00pm" if you go to the place you have to meet them he sometimes looks at his watch and gives you the option to wait till then.
