![]() The testing I read showed a benefit without de-lidding but it was literally a couple degrees which is not worth the risk of damage IMO. I should've just picked up some "extreme" kryonaut instead of the LM stuff. Not worth the stains, difficult removal process and risk of damage. The de-lidding process is risky enough too I don't really feel like going down that road especially not on $800 CPUs.

![]() Not many de-lidders on AMD due to the CCX/chiplet design. On Intel.. different story. Tons of gains putting LM on the die. AM5 is completely not de-lid friendly. You'd obliterate a 1/4 of the capacitors to get it off. |
