It seems fair.

Need a mod that has the ability to move the posts though.

I wonder how much my Titan XM would pull in at 1430. I don’t pay electric either since I live on base ..

Hmm.

Got my 2 Titan Xp's under water blocks this evening. Hitting 2000Mhz core, 12400Mhz mem and its quiet! My ears are thanking me lol.

Currently benchmarking in nicehash now. Equihash is at 850H/s per card. My 1080 Ti @ 1950Mhz core is at 752H/s

Default IRS Reminds US Taxpayers to Report Crypto Earnings

Quote:
The Internal Revenue Service has reminded U.S. taxpayers to include any cryptocurrency income on their annual tax forms.

In a release published Friday, the IRS noted that cryptocurrency transactions are taxable like other forms of property, echoing a release issued in 2014 outlining how cryptocurrencies would be taxed.

At the time, the IRS said profits and losses on digital currency would be treated as capital gains when the currency is being used as a capital asset. Similarly, wages paid to employees in crypto are taxable, while crypto payments made to independent contractors and service providers are reported through Form 1099.

In Friday's release, the IRS expanded on its position, stating that payments made in cryptocurrencies must be reported to the agency.

"A payment made using virtual currency is subject to information reporting to the same extent as any other payment made in property," the agency said.

You guys are reporting your crypto earnings right?

At least those of you in the U.S.

I am going to report them for 2018 yeah. Using bitcoin.tax to keep track of it. Lots of people are planning on letting it slide - good luck to them. Might be fine. The issue comes up if you ever get audited and if they search hard enough. Audits can be random or they can be deliberate. Just depends on your circumstances.

Cutoff?

I think you have to declare it as gross income no matter whether you file it as part of a business or personal. If you file as a business you should be able to deduct expenses. And also if you make trades and lose money or gain you would need to include that in your filing whether per business or personal too.

I suggest consulting a CPA when you go to file if you plan on reporting it. That is my plan.

Market been in another selloff the last few days. Not dropping quite as fast as before but alts sure are suffering the last couple months.

Indeed. It isn’t even paying the bills now. My AC compressor gave way so 350 bucks for that down the drain.

Hey NIGELG I've got a new card and I'm very chilled. Gaming at 1440p 144hz Ultra settings absolutely loving it. No compromises, no regrets I've paid for it move on happy times hopefully.

Trolling = to elicit an emotional response out of another user - the definition has never changed in the 20 years I've been here but feel free to voir-dire me as a moderator lol

I have a certain opinion about those who don't even participate in the subject matter yet are here every day telling others what they think. Hmm, now why would they do that? Gee, almost like they are 'trolling'.

Again, feel free to test me on this if you want, it's a committee decision and I'll gladly give my stance on this to the staff with my knowledge of the rules here and you can take your chances.

I'm not going to be baited to test you on anything. I disagree with your stance, nothing much else I can clearly do or say, so you win.
