The original (PC edition) had mods which fix those issues, so might look into if they are available for the sequel as well.

It's worse than 1 in a few key areas imo. But thought DL2 was still okay/good, while DL1 is great.

The main reason you might like 2 over 1 is if you hated the night dynamic in 1, which they have changed significantly by removing volatiles that hang around and adding some other types with a tiered chase system. I much prefer the night in DL1.

Also the repair system in DL2 is worse by far, asyou can only repair weapons like 3 times by applying upgrades, which sucks. DL2 has more box opening than 1, probably.

If you didn't like DL1 then I'd only recommend you bone at 70 or 80% off.

Its only at the start. As the game moves on, and probably by half way through the game, you no longer need to keep changing weapons, and can probably find or make some bad ass weapon you'll keep for the rest of the game.

Its less and less as the game goes, only the first couple hours do you really have to do anything with it, after that its as annoying as pressing a single button once every half hour. It's a really insignificant part of the game to hate the game fore. Especially when the game is excellent.

This isn't really true. If you space out the upgrades they can last a while but you're making it sound like one weapon will last from about halfway until the end.

Just let KAC do without. He'll survive.

Decided to fire this up and see what it looked like in person. Everything maxed with DLSS 2.4.3 and DLSS quality, seems like the visuals blur during movement. Not sure if this is expected or what?


EDIT: Actually I think this is just a combination of motion blur 100% and distance blur effect...derp.....

Features:

Multiple camera manipulation options, including aperture, focus distance, zoom, and roll, will help you create dynamic screenshots.
Color adjustments such as temperature, exposure, saturation, contrast, and vignette, with the addition of filters, will make each photo just beaming with climate and style.
Special Effects will allow you to create unique sequences straight from the action movies.


Game Updates

With each update, we always bring hundreds of fixes to our game and Update 1.4.0 is no different. Aside from the Chapters and Photo Mode introduction, we’ve focused on gameplay issues reported by our players and detected by our QA team.

I will admit I don't like game mechanics that simply don't respect the player's time. That issue is a thing for sure in gaming.

Missions like the one you're talking about usually only take a few tries though. Its very rare to see a game put in a timed mission that takes an insane amount of repeated attempts and trial and error. For the most part in mainstream games they design it to give you plenty of time to complete it once you learn what to do.

I find it very annoying that on the second swing of a bat or pipe etc.... you send zombies flying 100 feet away. This is really annoying.

This guy raised the same issue. One guy thinks it is related to the hyper mode which I did not click on so I do not know what up.

Another reckons it is on by default and can be disabled. I’ll try it tomorrow. The event ends in August 1st.
