Arrow 3DMark Vantage - First Official Screenshot

With graphics boards getting ever faster as always, we're certainly due a new version of 3DMark to bring even cutting edge parts to their knees. If you're impatiently waiting for new ways to make your system cry out with pain, then stay tuned, for 3DMark Vantage is now officially coming soon. How do we know this? Because the first official screenshot from this new iteration of the benchmark has just been released.

If you want to check it out, you can do so at Elite Bastards.

HOLY ****

And yes, I'm really getting sick of the impeding Crysis comparisons.

This looks great as is.

IMDA looks like a big shiny peice of chocolate. It doesnt look like a ship at all. It looks like any game i can play now on max settings @ 1440X900. Maybe thats just modest teaser, the real sceenshots may overcome

That looks like a pre-rendered image or an artist's conceptual drawing. It simply does not strike me as a screenshot taken from a 3D benchmark running in real-time.

It IS real.

Remember a guy called Gothic3 posting some 3DMark Vantage images?

There were some rendering bugs IIRC but yes, the space test is confirmed.

That looks pretty cool. I still think Futuremark is in cahoots with vidcard companies to intentionally underperform a card's maximum capabilities and pressure PC gamers into upgrading. But hey, what do I know?
