Looks like GeForce Experience got a facelift today. The main UI has adopted Googles Material Design Aesthetics (+1).

Shadowplay and sharing preferences has been redone as well. Instead of opening GFE, you can fire up an overlay with a keyboard shortcut (Alt+Z - customizable) and access everything from there.

They also seem to have added some screenshot saving and sharing options. You can save screenshots (ALT+F1 - customizable) and auto-upload to Google or Imgur. I didn't see an option to select a custom folder for saving images. Hopefully, they will add that option in an update.

Definitely digging the new UI, on the fence about the overlay. We'll see how useful it is over time.

Ha! I knew it! I knew the UI elements looked familiar.



Angular Material is a JavaScript framework made by Google. I've used it a couple times,

So the new GFE is just a web-browser, packaged with Electron. Electron just takes web files, packages them up with Chromium, and you have an app.

That explains why its faster than the old versions

I really hate how that "Press Alt-Z" bar comes up when you launch a game, it also comes up in full screen mpc-hc. Of course there's no way to disable just that pop-up unless you disable recording entirely. Stupid.

had some weirdness from that driver. bf4 locked up to a white screen and core was stuck to 645mhz. restarted, everything seems fine now.

Yeah I used to do that on amd (I think the restarts were mandatory or at least suggested) but never had an issue before with nvidia. Anyway, is it just me or do games feel smoother with this driver? BF4 is stuck to 100fps at 100hz for me with gsync on this driver and was on previous ones and I can tell something changed, it feels smoother than before.

One cool thing about the new Shadowplay is that you can record borderless fullscreen windowed games without having to enable desktop recording

Does this work in Doom?
With old Shadowplay you have to use desktop recording + borderless window + alt-tab out to start recording as it won't start recording if game window is in focus.

I might consider upgrading to the new bloatware package if it allows seamless borderless window recording without the need to alt-tab.
Don't really mind keeping desktop recording enabled but the alt-tab must go.

Count on NVidia to be always on the ball with big releases. All games working dandy. BF1 also has SLi support. Can't ask for more tbh.

Anyone have issues with Shadowplay, where it stutters, but only when saving? Not a huge issue, but if I'm in the middle of a firefght the stuttering can interfere until it finishes saving.

My games play from an SSD and Shadowplay saves to another mechanical drive (including the temp files). I never had this issue in the past, with the same settings.

Set it up so the game files, the temp files and the video dump never interfere with each other. I use 2 mech drives and an SSD for that.

Best I can do is put temps in the SSD and the saves on the mechanical. Don't have any extra drives, but the problem persists. I used to think Shadowplay was flawless, but it's just becoming buggy.

Edit: Forgot about my 128GB Crucial SSD I'm not using. I'll try including it in the video saving chain.

Nope to the point that I'm always a few releases behind. Which is fine because this game ready driver bullshit is just a marketing ploy. I only update right away if there are new features to try.

the latest driver, 375.86, took suspiciously very long to install, I'd guesstimate 3 times longer than the usual driver.

Careful on these, some are reporting that memory clocks get stuck at 800MHz. I haven't had the problem though, probably because alot of these reports seem to be unstable OC's anyways.

Working fine for me, might even grab BF1.... maybe..... probably not.

I havent in a while, so far so good. Only 2 BSODs since these drivers, and I am 100% positive its because of windows 10. So as of now nvidia has been top notch in the driver department. I know I know, odd coming from me.
