Any Trainers on Rage?

I have found on the new phone it is really hard to toss a curve ball as the high refresh rate of the razor phone makes spinning hard.


Any way I have been slowly leveling up so I am try and hang with my nephew. He is 6 and a "expert" trainer. He bounces off the walls ever time he sees a new Pokemon and has all the stats on which is better. We go on raids and attack gyms and kicks the bad guys butts out of their and put our best Pokemon in there to hold the Gym for as long as we can to make a bit of coin. So much fun when you have a little dude so excited about it.

i honestly have no idea, but i don't think that's what the setup is about, it's just a virtual raid he's using to kill raid bosses

one person can make multiple accounts. but most of the time you need separate devices for each one. just about any hardcore person has more than 1 account.

some samsung phones can have 2 separate accounts going at the same time, with the apps being from different stores.

got my first big boy shiny yesterday. was on my 6th raid. some people have done 50+ rayquaza raids and no shiny.

i'm "playing" this on and off for about i dunno.. a few years. Haven't been much in raids though, just some casual stuff. Kinda interesting to see how long this game survived.

Yeah my two friends have been in it since 2016. they also added remote raiding where you can raid at any gym you can see in your area or you can be invited to any raid in the world. Makes playing from home easier.

When Pokemon Go first came out it was INSANELY huge. Where I used to live there was a museum a park and there would just be drones of people moving about. Someone would scream ONYX over here(or whatever pokemon) and everyone would run over there to try and catch it. Im talking hundreds of people. It was quite interesting cause the age range went from little to kids to damn near 50 year olds.

i still have no clue how to level fast n stuff, but whatever. It's one of those games that sit in your library forever for no apparent reason

the friends feature is basically how to grind xp. you get a ton of XP on certain milestone days of friendship. you keep your friendship going by opening/sending gifts, battling, and trading.

oh that doesnt matter since interaction is very limited. you just exchange your code with someone and then send them gifts and open their gifts (or battle or trade but that's not as simple). limit is 200 friends and i think i have about 180. 99% are random strangers there's a subreddit for exchanging codes as well as im sure you have local discord groups for code exchanging.

one interaction per day (you open their gift or they open yours) builds your relationship meter with them and when you get to certain milestones you get huge XP bonuses.

this is actually the single biggest way, by far, to grind xp quickly. keep adding people, opening gifts and sending gifts. there are a couple more quirks to it i can explain but thats the basics.

Question for teh Pokerman-Master: What's up with those funny looking eggs you can get through presents? At first i thought they were kinda special, but it seems they're not. Or am i'm missing something (again)?

all the different eggs have different pools of guys inside them. the 7km eggs i believe have the current newer pokemon that were released for this week.

i honestly dont care about eggs very much. recently there was a big outcry from the community when people would open hundreds of eggs and get 1% or way less actual rare pokemon or shiny ones out of those hundreds. and the outcry comes since you have to pay coins to buy incubators (in addition to the one you have for free, or you may have more than 1 as rewards).

if you're just starting, I wouldnt worry about it too much. just make sure you always have an egg incubating. I sometimes forget to put one in.... Obviously it tells you when it is hatched...

I would save up coins for remote passes to do raids from the comfort of your home. Raids are where it is at. You group up with a bunch of people (sometimes randoms or you can coordinate with friends etc) and then take down a more powerful pokemon and then you have a chance to catch them. some are tricky to catch and you only have a limited number of balls. but you still get a lot of xp and other little rewards for finishing a raid even if you dont catch him. A lot of the 1 and 2 star raids you can do on your own, but ones higher than that you need other people since you won't kill the boss before the timer runs out. I try to do a handful of raids a week. If you want an invite to one, just let me know your trainer code. You do need to have a remote pass though (which are available in the store with coins. earn coins by leaving your pokemon in gyms. when they get knocked out you get coins. a maximum of 50 coins per day can be earned). Just experiment with 1 star raids in your area and then maybe you'd want to try a 5 star one.

you get 1 free in-person raid pass a day, and you can carry 1. If you already carrying one you can't carry the second, so you have to use the one you are carrying first. So if you are carrying 1 already, you can do 2 free in-person raids in a day, in total. in-person means you actually have to go out to the gym when the raid is happening and join the lobby. remote passes allow you to play from home. you can join any raid happening in your area, or you can be invited to raids all over the world.

ah, i checked again, the ones i meant were all 7 km eggs (yellow-purple). Still very random rewards inside.

As for the raids, yeah, i saw that, but i won't buy coins for real money, i'll try the gyms instead. Thx for the insight, bob. Btw you already have my trainer code (Demcrazykraut)

A lucky egg for milestone, well, uhm, yeah, i guess? Ah you mean the grey ones which grant you 30 minutes double exp.

So when one of the friends hits that last day, obviously both friends get the Xp bonus.

Yea those lucky eggs give double xp. So if you have the egg going and we hit 3 stars during that half an hour, you make 100k xp instead of 50. Now the problem comes when people don’t really know each other at all, and one person activated the last day on the gift with an egg, and the other one has no idea what’s happening, and didn’t have an egg. so one got the double xp for themselves and the other didn’t know it was happening, didn’t have an egg, and got regular xp.

Exactly. As long as you won’t be mad at me we can carry on as usual. I usually try to open my big points gifts at about midnight my time, which I think is about that 8 or 9 or 10 in the morning European time.

Thanks! The game seems crazy popular in Germany... out of all my friends in Europe, by far the most are in Germany. Actually probably even worldwide, most of my friends are in Germany.

well i can't tell because here it's the other way around, only 2 are from Germany, the rest is USA, Thailand, Australia, Singapore, Sweden, Peru and so on
