![]() I am not keen on a complicated and HEAVY 1U type solution: So I am thinking 8x Tweakmonster RAMsinks + - Vantec Iceberq4 (5.9 CFM) - Titan CUV2AB (10.25 CFM 22 Db) - Thermaltake Crystal Orb (12 CFM 26 Db) Which is the best???

![]() My vote goes to none of the above ![]() This cooler will be on sale at Vendors soon, SVC will carry them I am told. This heatsink will fit 9500's, 9600's-9800's Best of all its extremely quiet And that a copper hybrid version will be built for the 9800 XT http://www.arctic-cooling.com/en/products/vga_silencer/

![]() well if i had to pick......????? can't do it!!! none of the above! the stock hs with as3 after removing the shim will be just as good and quite possibly better. think about it, the stock hs is larger than any of the choices. bigger is almost always better when it comes to a hs. i have my 97np modded with an amd barton hs and a 28 cfm ys tech fan. its heavy, but does not pull down the card at all. |

![]() yeah, i'd just clean the old stuff offa there, reapply a good thermal compound, and screw a 60mm fan onto the stock sink. works great. ![]()

![]() Oh Dear... Two "none of the above"s. A sign of a poorly thought out poll... What about the Titan guys - that's what Hercules use - surely with the ship removed and AS3 that is a good choice - quiet too... (don't say it, I know I should have bought the Hercules in the first place)

It smokes the factory ATI heatsink by 30-40% in performance, and its quieter by as much as 50%

![]() get a 1u, its probably the best cooling you can do aside from a swiftech mc462 LOL. 1u only requires you to drill two holes and get 2 4-32" bolts and two nylon nuts or just a rubberspacer. and viola, best cooling there is. |

![]() I have to say, I put a Iceberq 4 on my AIW 9700 Pro, and it drastically lowered my reported temp on my VPU and I don't even overclock. IMHO I don't think the stock heatsick and fan on that was all that great. The one on the 9800 seems much better though. I just got a AIW 9600 Pro and they changed the board layout so I cannot put a Iceberq on it ![]() |
