Default "To Kill and Kill Again" - ITV documentary last night

A documentary on Harold Shipman is nothing new, but I found this one interesting, it showed various aspects of his life and career I hadn't seen before such as his very young marriage (and pethadine addiction) and his attitude towards the police while being interviewed, sitting with his back to the table and his eyes closed. What was quite shocking was how well people thought of Dr Shipman, they were keen to get onto his panel and thought of as a friendly old Doctor. Also quite interesting were the various people that suspected something was happening, in particular the taxi driver who had kept a list of people he thought were being killed - he hadn't presented them sooner as he thought people would think him crazy, which one of the police offiicers agreed that without any other evidence that's how it would come across. At the very end of the program, the question was asked, how could this have been prevented, it seems absurd that anyone could get away with hundreds of murders, however talking to the relatives of victims you could see how he got away with it - he was thought of a good Doctor and Doctors don't kill people.

On a slight sidenote, they really didn't need to show the injections so many times, injections are easily my worst phobia, I can't stand watching the process of an injection.

Lots of crazy folks roam the streets, doing bad things. Not really a surprise he got away with so many, being the good dr. and all.

Some psycho's are nuttier then all hell though and they don't get caught.
The last of a dying breed..
