Default Console Gaming Party (Gaming Suggestions)

My buddy and I are throwing a console party. We will have an xBox 360, a couple of PS3's and a Wii. We have two large screen HDTVs. And we also have 2 Bob Earl Racing Chassis's with Logitech G25's for racing.

I would like some suggestions on good games to play with a group of about 10-15 people. Thanks.

Do you want games that are multiplayer? Or games that could be fun to watch at a gaming party?

If the second, how about RezHD on the 360? I don't own a Wii or PS3(yet), so I can't say whats good on them. Surely there's some good Wii games out there for such an event though.

Rock Band and Guitar Hero are fun.

you could try a minigame compilation on the Wii...
yes i know that sounds like a rediculous thing but some of them are good (althought most of them are utter trash).
-Mario Kart (i actually thought the wii version kinda sucks)
-Mario Strikers Charged (its fun and absolute chaotic)
-Mario Party 8 (i dont recommed this...it doesnt have alot of fun minigames)
-Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 (Theres a few good multiplayer minigames in this one)
-Smash Bros Brawl (if you like this style of game, it'll be a blast)
-Boom Blox (i heard this one's fun)
-Wii sports (default)
-Ghost Squad (4 player shooter action is fun, although the game is fairly short and easy. but theres the "paradise mode" where the terrorists are chicks in bikinis and you shoot water pistols the bosses are in tropical attire as well....and well...some of them are quite disturbing. Theres also a ninja mode where you become ninjas and you "shoot" throwing stars at ninja clad terrorists)

Are there non-gamers coming? From my experience, non-gamers have a blast with Rock Band, Mario Kart, and Super Monkey Ball on Wii. These games are fun to watch even if not playing (well Mario Kart is just so-so to watch).

Halo might be a bit lame if only on one screen. IS UT3 good on consoles? Maybe that'd be fun to link up on your PS3s.

Get Warioware Smooth Moves for the Wii, the multiplayer modes are the best party games ever!!! I'm dead serious. Every single person is gonna enjoy it once they try it. Guaranteed fun. Try playing it drunk and you won't stop...

PS - multiplayer requires only ONE remote, even for 10+ people

WarioWare was the absolute worst game I have ever played, by a HUGE margin. To this day, WarioWare: Smooth Moves is the only game I have ever sold...ever. It was the most god-awful piece of trash, even the wife hated it after 2wks and told me to sell it.

I can't stress enough how bad I thought this game was. It's just incredible how many people actually like and recommend it. Boggles my mind. Apparently, I just don't "get it".

For party game suggestions, I guess if I were the one hosting I would just stick with the usual assortment of FPS titles. Although, there are now RTS games available on the 360 that could prove to be fun if using 360's linked.

A couple suggestions:
Halo 2
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4
Command and Conquer 3
Dead or Alive 4
Guitar Hero II
Guitar Hero III
Rock Band

I suggest to keep the game list varied, like the above. I think this would keep everyone interested and entertained. Some people may not like FPS games, some may not like RTS. Should be something for everyone.

i love warioware and all of its incarnations

it would be a hit at almost any party ...

except those visited by overclockn. i cant imagine a worse party then everyone playing fps.

rock band has always been a hit at my buddies house when he has people over ... but i swear the conversation drops to next to nothing when he puts cod4 in.

Warioware is very very nice for a party because opposed to almost every other game, when playint it people actually move around and interact a lot with each other (not required for gameplay but instinctively). And in multiplayer it gets crazy as the difficulty progresses! I'm telling you, it IS multiplayer fun.

super smash brothers screams a party enviorment

you can set up ladders and all sorts of multiplayer madness

stay away from mario party ... seems like that would just suck in 4 people to helmet around a tv.

Yes totally forgot about Smash Bros. That's pretty good at parties too!

Mario Party Wii is the worst of all Mario Parties IMHO...

Sorry, the audience is all guys wanting to play guy games. Music games may come into play based on drinking tolerances I suppose. I don't expect anyone there to be a non-gamer.
