Anyone try these 4.9's with Call of Duty?

Screw Doom 3.. What about Call of Duty? I may play doom 3 for a few days, but play COD all the time.

I've gained nearly 20fps in Wolfenstein Enemy Terrirtory so since its basically the same game it looks very good.

Forget about Aurora based engines like Kotor and NWN and thank Bioware for that.

CoD runs fine for me with 4.9b. 1280x1024 - taa - 4/8 - all options maxed - solid 85 fps (refresh rate). Was running 4.8 -- game play seems a little smoother.

COD always ran very fast on my X800 (around 130 frames) with the 4.6's even. 4.7 didnt change anything much. I'm sure it will be the same with 4.9b. I just cant run Jedi Acadmey. I might try installing the 4.9b.

COD would always crash for me at a certain spot with 4.7. 4.9b changed that, runs perfectly through that area now, AND i get 20 more fps with 4xaa 16xQAF.

Honestly, why don't u just download the 4.9b's? I've been playing DOOM III for 3 hours straight, no lockups, or glitches. Far Cry seems to run smoother, again no problems. These seem very stable. Is a simple certififaction from M$ really that big of a deal?

I too had the COD crash with my 9700 and 4.9b seems to have fixed it, and it is running great...finally. Hopefully they don't break it again before the WHQL version.
