UPS is currently on strike for shipping in or to Canada. And all I can say it YAY!

As I'm pretty sure most Canadians know you never get somthing shipped to you via UPS anyway(unless its Gold service and even then....). So honestly I find this rather amusing

I've never shipped through UPS and just hear horror stories about the condition of peoples packages, as well as them showing up late etc. I always use Fedex or Canada Post. Preferrably Fedex. Always on time, always in great shape.

Never once have I ever had a single problem with UPS. Fed Ex, that's another story. More than I can care to remember, Fed Ex has given me packages that look as if they have been run over with an M-1 Abrahm.

I do tend to recieve more packages with Fed Ex, however (from Newegg). Maybe canadian UPS guys just think the Canadian people aren't worth doing a good job for?

I don't know. I have heard horror stories on both sides of the boarder. Most people prefer FedEx,Puralator,DHL or CanadaPost more so than UPS. But if you are getting something shipped from the US to Canada you avoid them like the plauge unless they offer gold service.

I ship to Canada with UPS several times per year and never had any trouble, except one time customs held a package up. I tried shipping with another company,Purolator, and I was forced to pay a duty on a small item. UPS always got my packages in with no extra taxes and they always arrived on time. I hope this strike will not last too long as I have Christmas Presents already to ship.

Well so long as you use the gold service(or are shipping within Canada) they can be alright. Anything else though and they will nail you with a stupidly high brokerage fee,

I never had probelms with UPS. Actually the last shipment I had I order 3-5 day shipping and I got the package 2nd day.

I hope they pack it up and go home. Canadians don't call them &%^* UPS in for nothing. Lost packages, denied insurance claims, malicious damage, and absurd brokerage fees are just the routine tip of the iceberg.

I rarely get any package from anyone. I got a few from Purolator before. They were ok.

Let's see...

On more than one occassion they have delivered packages to the wrong address. They will only attempt one delivery now to homes. Their package tracking website is a joke. I got a delivery once from them and it still said it was at the depot. Wasn't until the next day that the status was updated.
