![]() Sorry. Bit of a newbie. Just installed an 8500 OEM on my FIRST EVER PC (YIKES!!!) Converted Mac guy. 1.6 Ghz IBM Netvista 640 MB RAM XP Anyhway, I'm running the lame 3276 driver. What should I use? 3286? 6011? Omega? Other? And are there any no-brainer tweaks I should do immediately. I'm not looking to do any additional cooling, so I know I'm limited. For instance, do I need to do anything about my Bios (845 chipset)? BTW, my 3dMark score was 5688--YUK! Thanks for any help. I'm a bit clueless.

![]() 3286 are a good improvement over the 3276; thier better in quality and speed and enable more options, Im presently running 6011's = more speed and driver options. But definetly upgrade at least to the 3286's and from there you can move onward and decide what you prefer. |

![]() i would go with 6011, however, i see many people having problems with 6011.. ( im currently using 6011 and itz fine) if u face any problems with 6011, go with 3286, it wont disappoint u ![]()

![]() Well...I went home last night a tried to install 6011. It wouldn't take. I tried EVERYTHING! Cleaned the registry, uninstalled from device manager, uninstalled manually from system 32 folder. No matter what I do, XP tells me that the setup had failed. Sometimes I can get the driver info to acknowledge the new driver version, but it still says "there is a problem with this device. Reinstall driver" BTW, I tried this multiple times with 6011, 3286, and the latest Omega driver. Basically, I can't get a single driver to stick on my system. IBM Netvista A series 1.6 Ghz P4, 845 chipset 640 MB RAM Can anybody help?
