Default pagefile partition BEFORE windows partition?

If i create a 2GB partition while installing xp, and then create a partition after the 2gb partition. can i install xp to the second partition and have the page file on the first partition?

Yes, BUT.....

Your swap partition would be the C: drive, and your Windows partition would be the D: drive. Also, Windows would copy over some system files necessary for booting Windows to your swap partition.
