Default No threads on the 6970 or 6870?

Kinda surprised. the 6970 seems to be quite the beast for a mobillity chip.

So, the 6970 Mobility is based on the desktop 6870 core. The 6870 is based on the 5770 desktop core. 6970 M will be a major bump over the 6870 mobility.

Interesting how that's done tbh. Rather misleading if you ask me.

It's how it's always been done. For instance, the Nvidia 260m GTX was actually a refined 8800 GTS from the desktops. Laptops have always trailed in tech.

Anyways I went with the 6970m so I will be more than happy to publish a review, benchs, evertying in a few weeks when the actual damn thing comes in. Caveman you wanna help with it and make it up on the Rage site? Walk me through what you need, etc?

Pretty much to give a Desktop comparative it runs the same as a 5850/GTX460.

Pretty amazing for something so small, and efficient.
