I'm pretty pleased with B&N so far. If one has an existing Kindle ebook collection this would allow them to easily migrate over.

I'm not happy with Amazon as they have been playing games with pricing lately.

I think they missed an opportunity here for increased branding and mind-share. I'm willing to bet they've been paid off (or otherwise colluded with) to not allow official market support, but I am paranoid that way. One reason it might not get the Market is because it's not a 3G device. That's the only way the Galaxy Tab got it, and there's no guarantee the WiFi model will get it when it comes out... Market access currently is decided by whether a device has a 3G radio or not. That will change in 3.0 though.

Weird. I suppose they need to have some standards given the disparate nature of Android based hardware, but that seems like an awfully arbitrary requirement.

Actually from what I read Google requires 3g and GPS in all devices to be branded official.
