Any Whql 3.1 drivers?? Major problems il2-FB

I just got il-2 forgotten battles looking foward to this for ever now, I have xp2700+ , 1gig of Kingmax DDr333, Radeon 9700pro, Dx9, Cat 3.1's and SP1........

I run 4x Fsaa, 8x Anio, I run my Fb game settings on FULL (with the new perfect landscape setting for new water)

My frames are HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Unplayable, even if I turn off new rendering engine they are pretty bad, I dunno what the problem is, I have a friend with a lower system running same thing he says he downloaded Whql 3.1 drivers? I couldn't find these anywhere.....

Someone help please, this is driving me insane,

on top of that the landscape goes PINK sometimes and a lot of people are experiencing this problem.

This is a known problem with the game...are you running S3TC with the perfect setting...S3TC makes the new water effect look bad and does wierd things to far off textures when the perfect setting is on. As well, on the IL2 boards you may notice people say the perfect mode is pretty much entirely CPU dependant, and even people with very high end machines are experiencing slow performance with it on. Turn off perfect and make sure S3TC is on and the game will run fine.
