Just added my machine to the mix yesterday. Currently on unit 72 at a rate of about 30 minutes per unit. Think that will help a bit?

Tis better to fold on one, than not to fold at all.

However, this method relies on repeatable, falsifiable hypotheses and theories. Only an extremely small spectrum of time and space can be rendered into these, or at least a good approximation of such.

Yes! If all the inactives on Rage3D would restart folding, we'd climb right back up in Team Rank

Alas, the inactives aren't likely to restart folding

If all the inactives would fold, we'd have more than the equivalent of a couple of How's back!

Too bad there isn't any forum incentive for Folding, other than Avatars. If there's something people want but can only get by folding, then we can seriously increase recruitment! Let's see, people come here for ATi Graphics News... can we get CatMaker to provide special news for Folders?... Just a random thought.

Get Cat Maker to donate a lab sample X800XT PE and you'd see a slight bump in folding.

[just an idea...]

Great idea... but people will stop folding as soon as the prize is claimed... need something that'll keep people folding & keep coming back for more... kind of like an addiction

I've seen in other forums like driverheaven that they have medals next to the user's avatar. Maybe we can establish some ranks (like in the military) using the # of wu's or points earned.

"Rage3d [email protected] Army General",
"Rage3d [email protected] Army Captain"

etc

Hey that's a great idea... some variation of wu / pts / length involved / people recruited... etc.

How about it, Lupine?

Maybe the forum incentive could be 80x80 avatars, but you would have to have a certain (very high) score or WU sent in to get it. So people wouldn't do like 1 WU and quit. ? Sounds good to me

Some great ideas guys!

A couple of us admins/mods were bouncing around similar ideas today (contests, prizes, Folder of the Year, etc). Stay tuned and keep the suggestions coming!

That's actually a pretty good idea. But with my limited resources and at my current pace, I think I'll be a PFC for a pretty long time.

That's why we need to reward folding tenure and not just raw production number.
