![]() I have this installed but didn't played it. Run at 3200x1800 everything maxed but no AA (to enable soft shadows) and it run buttery smooth (66-70fps, Vsync 70Hz) I still remember most of the earlier stages, health, reflex upgrade and all the jump scares. Still loving it. One of few games that uses EAX. |

![]() I know. Really don't understood why Sega never went back and released it, especially after they released Viking all those years after the fact. Even a quick cash-in port would've been better than nothing. Side note: the second game had a different vibe to it, and I always thought it was kinda weird how they redesigned Ethan, Rosa, and SKX (they made them all young and sexy for the sequel). Also, the story got pretty damn weird by the end... but I thoroughly enjoyed beating hobos with foosball rods and/or moose antlers. ![]() And despite all its faults, F.E.A.R 3 actually reminded me a lot of Condemned in that each level was separate and distinct from the rest... especially that creepy department store early on.

![]() Really been enjoying this. I'm near the end, just entering the vault after leaving the fat guy outside, bleeding and dying. Not much empathy for that bonehead. ![]() |

![]() Glad you are enjoying it, not a lot of people can go back and enjoy older games these days. Fear is one of the greats though. Think i finished it almost as often as i finished stalker or half lifes.

![]() I've started playing through Extraction Point. The AI have stepped it up, they can give you a really good fight. ![]() It's early on, but is Alma Wade actually trying to help me, or is she just playing with me? ![]() |

![]() Did you listen to any of the phone messages in the first game? And did you watch the credits all the way through? EDIT: FWIW I wouldn't stress over the Extraction Point story too much. As "out there" as F.E.A.R.'s story was, EP makes literally no sense whatsoever. And it isn't considered canon, so it doesn't really matter anyway. Just enjoy the firefights and you should be good to go.

![]() The first one is still far and away the best game in the series. I wish it was 2005 still so I could go back and play it for the first time ![]() |

![]() The AI really was a shining moment, can't believe the downhill slump of AI we've received since.

I remember it took quite awhile for the game to really get going, and I remember being disappointed that most of the game takes place in the same office building. But half way through the game, when I really got the controls down and understood what the game was really about, I thoroughly enjoyed the combat... the repetitiveness was actually kindof nice because it allowed me to fully immerse myself in the combat. |

![]() The single dumbest thing though (while i actually ended up liking fear 2 and even liked the ending, though most felt it was, ugly), is that the xbox version of fear 2 has full dynamic shadows and lighting... but the pc version doesnt...

![]() I haven't revisited the second game since the Reborn DLC came out, but I did enjoy it. And I remember thinking that the ending was brilliant. It was definitely different (at the least), and not at all what I was expecting.

![]() I have not played the dlc for fear 2, but yeah, i really thought the ending fit the game perfectly, and it was definitely unexpected. Easily as epic as the first time you see the end game explosion in the first fear game too.

![]() It's been a long time, but I remember being impressed with the enemy AI. Back then it wasn't common that the enemies would work together to suppress and flank. I really enjoyed the shootouts in the office buildings where some enemies would shoot while others would try to get behind or beside me.

![]() This is another game on my all time favorites list... F.E.A.R. (the first one) – This game definitely gave me the jumps and kept my attention. I don’t know how many times Alma made me jump when least expected. You actually felt like you were there, fear and all. Great game. |
