No. You just lose access to all the keys from that particular month. First you must choose to unlock that months games. If you do then you can't pause.
You get keys to activate in Steam (and maybe Epic or others) that you keep forever.
When a new month rolls around with new games it usually unpauses so if don't want them you have to set it to pause again.

During the pause you also lose access to any extra discounts on games you can purchase at their store.

You also lose access to the Humble Trove which is a bunch of direct download games like some stuff you'd find in a bargain bin at KMart.

You can always unpause the month if you want as take your selection just as long as that month is not over. Once it is over, you can't obtain the keys unless you already chose to unlock that month.

Apparently "Control: Standard Edition" equals "Control: Ultimate Edition" because that's what's currently in my Steam library.

Can't wait until year after next when I get a raytracing card and maybe can play it with raytracing.

So if you got Control from Humble, then you only got Control Standard Edition despite it showing up as Ultimate edition on Steam.

A meh bundle this time around.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts - A sniper game based on a line of sniper games that seem to have been milked to the point where only powder comes out the nipples. I have the first one, remastered. I am awful at it.

F1 2020 - I love racing games but have no interest in the F1 series.

Shenmue III - 3rd person minigame simulator with mundane life taking up the space in between. Reviews say that it's both grind and time limited, which is an awful combination, especially a minigame game.

Main Assembly - Engineering simulator. Probably decent if the interface is intuitive.

Rock of Ages 3 - Has nothing to do with the barely remembered FPS Will Rock. Tower defense designed for multiplayer. Could be fun if I had friends.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain - I don't know what this game is trying to be but it looks terrible. From the screens I expect awful voice acting and clunky gameplay where if you hide behind the bed you die but if you hide behind the bed a little more to the right everything goes just fine. Or if you don't find the flat head screwdriver in the one drawer you didn't search because you didn't aim the cursor in the perfect spot so you thought the drawer wasn't open-able. (I'm looking at you, Lucius )

In Other Waters - 2D colorless puzzle game with complicated rules that you must learn. The learning is what makes it fun!

Aven Colony - Love the aesthetics of this game, but it is in a pile of RTS/City Simulators that I have yet to play.

Simulacra 1 & 2 - Play a game on your PC where you solve a crime using nothing but a mobile phone. Gets points for it not being an iPhone.

Cold Canyon - Fun looking twin-stick shooter with horrible graphics.

Skully - Another indie title that looks fantastic due to pre-packaged assets in Unity or UE4 engine. Might be a physics-based platformer.

Popup Dungeon - Nothing about the title of this game gives me any sense of curiosity or excitement. Just the title alone sounds like trash. Not a game for me.

well, Skully looks actually good, although i don#t know anything about the gameplay and Popup Dungeon isn't that bad, it's a highly customizable dungeoncrawler if you will call it so. Aven colony also isn't bad, if you're into that kind of game, of course. The rest of the bundle is more or less utter trash.

This month:

Metro Exodus - For the AMD and pre 20XX owners out there that didn't buy this because they didn't have a Ray Tracing capability, now you can play it without its ray tracing glory! For those with any capable ray tracing card, chances are you already own this. Because Ray Tracing amirite. Steam only.

Darksiders Genesis - the 16 bit version of Darksiders brought to life... no it's actually a slick looking top down RPG in the Darksiders universe.

Hellpoint - a 3rd person action RPG with a stiff follow camera and bad animations. Based in a futuristic hell Quake Doom baby.

Cook, Serve, Delicious 3 - Mark this as the 3rd Cook, Serve, Delicious game I've gotten through Humble Monthly.

Levelhead - Platforming puzzle game that looks like Sonic CD but with less level design.

Fury Unleashed - 2D platformer shooter with lots of colors that go well with brown. Aliens be here.

Size Matters - Could be an interesting game. You drink a potion that makes you shrink and you have to find your way around and as you shrink, your ability to do things shrinks with it. Like pleasuring ***'s *u* amirite

Morkredd - Light based top-down puzzle game with shadow effects first seen in Nox (2000). Co-op so you can play with your Humble Monthly friend that also has it.

Relicta - Cool title image. I actually played the demo of this. Did not like the level of profanity; totally unnecessary for this 1st person puzzle game a la Talos Principle and Portal, but in more varied environments.

Retimed - 2D multiplayer arena shooter with Kirby-like graphics that I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding randos on the internet to play against. Features bubbles that when inside, slow down time just like in God's Trigger's last level because everyone played that as well.

Family Man - Story based first person adventure game with basic non-voxel based 3D graphics. Remember Club Drive for the Jaguar? Like that.

Vane - 2D? 3D? Adventure game. Supposedly you can transform into a bird and back and change the world as you progress. After watching the trailer, it might just be weird enough to deserves a chance.

Doing this from the updated Firefox browser. I'm dazzled by the new text search and text box border colors. It's like I'm at a party.

This month:

Civilization VI Platinum Edition - Got this for free on Epic Games, sans Platinum. Maybe I'll play it when I play IV, V first (which I got from bundles in times past).

Secret Neighbor - First person cartoonish (Psychonauts-looking) multiplayer survival game. No thanks.

Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel Without a Pulse - Played the original retail, liked the style but recognized it was pure novelty. Also had crashing issues. Not much game to this game, but it does tell an amusing story.

Worms Rumble w/Legends Pack DLC - I hear good things about the Worms puzzle games but have never played them. A quick look at the Steam reviews shows a lot of disappointed customers as it's multiplayer only and there's nobody playing.

Going Under - Dungeon crawler based in the buildings of failed tech startups. Looks interesting and user reviews say its good.

Panzer Paladin - Game Boy Color 2D platform/shooter. Looks awful.

Milky Way Prince: The Vampire Star - "Live a summer of dysfunctional love through branching storylines, twists, sudden changes, and a special mechanic where you choose which senses to use with your boyfriend. In these moments, you will learn about him, his personality, and his past, making you question everything."

Desolate - Survival game where you craft and build things before getting killed as your environment becomes more harsh. Actually might be interesting based on the setting/backstory.

Ikenfell - Turn based RPG. Looks like a failed Netflix Original cartoon.

Paw Paw Paw - Advertises as an adventure game but looks like a 2D fighting game. Cartoony, basic mobile phone visuals.

Effie - I honestly can't figure out what this game is. Perhaps dabbles in multiple genres. "Relive the look and feel of old-school video games!" Wow that's enticing.

Disjunction - A top down 2D strategic-looking shooter like Survival Squad (lol no one knows what that is). Stealth action... like the original Wolfenstein.

I think I will not renew.

Yakuza 3: Remastered - At least the fourth Yakuza game on Humble Choice, this one is remastered in 1080p and 60 FPS.

The Surge 2 - I'm pretty sure I got The Surge from a previous bundle. This one is the sequel to that game I have yet to install and play.

Dirt 5 - Probably the worst rated Dirt game.

Hammerting - Clearly trying to be a unique indie game in a sea of unique indie games. 2D vertical mining RPG. Or 'someting'.

Nimbatus - 2D Sandbox Drone Building Factory game set in space.

Paradise Killer - I'm pretty sure I looked at this a long time ago. Actually looks fun and interesting. Cartoonish characters, first person investigation RPG with comic-book looking lore graphics.

Kill it With Fire - Go into a house, find spiders by opening every drawer or turning over every object, and kill them in textureless bliss with things like flamethrowers. Looks tedious and awful. Besides I love spiders. You know the best place to find them IRL? In their web, in the corner somewhere, completely out of the way.

Bee Simulator - You're a bee. You fly around and be a bee. Good visuals.

Elderborn - Bad ass first person melee game that doesn't deserve this fate. Fantastic metal soundtrack.

S.W.I.N.E. - Looks like an RTS inspired by Warzone 2100 where you design your own vehicles.

Deadly Days - Random pixel generator that might dance to your music.

ADOM - A truly horrid looking 2D top-down action RPG.

This month:

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - A Castlevania game made for Castlevania fans without the Castlevania IP. I did not play Castlevania, but this one seems high rated.

Last Oasis - An MMO offered in a bundle is always a bad sign for that MMO. Looking at Steam Stats, this one isn't in the top 100 of number of players.

Superliminal - First person puzzle game where large objects block your path through narrow hallways.

Out of Space - 2D isometric Co-Op multiplayer base building game. Looks awful.

We Need to Go Deeper - Poorly animated, poorly drawn 2D platform looking game that should probably belong on a mobile phone. In hell.

Carto - Top down 2D adventure game with no dialogue boxes.

As Far As The Eye (or, A FATE) - I can't make heads or tails of this one from the screens, but one thing I can tell is that it's probably not worth the time to figure out. Maybe a management simulator? Lots of different colors.

Cepheus Protocol - This one actually looks pretty good. Zombie killing strategy game? Lots of blood. Strange organic constructs. Mix of basic and good graphics.

Drake Hollow - Could be good but you lost me at coop. I like how the environments and enemies look.

Nowhere Prophet - Another game that belongs on a mobile phone. Do battles by drawing lines from one shape to another.

Blue Fire - 3D platformer/adventure. Looks unfinished.

Encodya - Cool looking title graphic. Interesting environment. 2.5D adventure game. Might be worth playing. GOG key.

you _can_ play it in coop, although you don't need to. It's a fun, sometimes challenging survival-building game. Also you get some funny sidekicks you have to care for...kinda. I've played it for a good amount of hours, it really isn't that bad.

It's an excellent metroidvania indeed. Backtracking is a big part but imo the number of teleport spots is decent enough. Symphony of the Night in all but IP, by one of the dev leads in that game.


I loved Superluminal too, as esoteric geometry first person puzzling goes. Short but sweet.
