The good thing about a title like HZD on ps is that it's still jaw dropping gorgeous on ps, so it's not a loss for me either way.

Thanks Sony/Valve, game is blocked in my region!!! Why they hell? It doesn't have religious references, it doesn't have adult material, it doesn't have regional political points so why the hell!


Getting really irritated by publishers jumping the gun on region blocks before anyone from my country/government even do anything, which they didn't.


Plus you have this GTA5 on Steam but blocked on EGS, and now HDZ is available on EGS but blocked on Steam...

Also I don't see HZD on EGS? Wtf?

They've got wildly different prices depending on region. US, EU and AUS are getting the shaft while elsewhere are getting fairly large discounts (in some cases paying under $10).

You mean non developed poorer nations are playing less?

That's pretty much been the normal until people started using VPN's to buy games cheap, and then publishers ramped up the prices ****ing over the poorer people.

I was curious, so I set my VPN to Kenya and loaded the EGS in a new incognito browser window. HZD was USD$12. I'm not gonna pretend to be in Kenya just to save a few bucks, tho. It'll be on sale shortly after release in the US, so I'll just wait like I usually do.

Don't use a VPN to fake your location, there's been numerous reports of accounts being banned for it over the past couple of years.

Sooo, on Steam Sony has been significantly increasing prices for the game in some regions, like in Russia, Argentina, Brazil the price has gone up as much as 4x as it was yesterday, and many other regions have increased as well.

But there are reports that the price on Epic has not increased in those regions yet, well as of a few hours ago or so.

So I suggest if you are wanting this game, you might want to consider buying it on Epic right now if the price is cheaper on Epic than it is on Steam, because chances are the price increase is coming to Epic when Sony gets to it.

I did preorder yesterday on Steam with the $5 discount. Still kind of expensive though after tax (~$48). I'll cancel the preorder if I find it cheaper at another reputable store, like at Greenmangaming. They're currently offering Death Stranding with a 22% discount so maybe there's hope for HZD if they get it.

It effected countries like Sweden, Argentina, Brazil, Russia, CIS countries, United Kingdom, south asia, China, Ukraine, South Africa, Turkey, Columbia.

Edit: Apparently a small increase for USA's hat (Canada), and the prison camp (Australia)

They increased the price of the game. It's now almost 3 times expensive. Luckily I bought it on the fault price...

edit: Epic games is now 1/2 the price of steam.

i wonder how all this will play out. as steam has a clause that states a game cant be sold at a regular price that is different (probably states cheaper) than the price on steam. Sales dont count.

Man, they really don't want me to buy the game. Still region blocked for me on Steam and now on EGS they hiked the price from 22 to 29...


Seriously... Glad I finished it on PS4 long ago. I'll just buy it now when it is below 10 bucks in a sale.
