That's a setting.
You could compare every game set in a modern city to GTA5 by that logic.

Unless you go the stylized route not much can be done about it; it's the world as it exists.

By that logic, you'd be calling any game that takes place in the Viking times a Skyrim copy. Which is just silly.

I need a new GPU for this one. The 1080 won’t cut it. I’ll probably be sitting in the mid 40s to mid 50s most of the time.

I am contemplating grabbing a Turing card and skipping Ampere but.... I can’t do it.

3070 release should be the day after amd anoucement of their cards on the 28th. So the 29th of oct i guess. If you want to skip ampere, just grab a 3070. it will be cheaper and still perform better than anything in previous generations, and nvidia has told their sellers that they will have stock for the 3070, it wont have the shortage problem the other 2 cards have.

Yeah I know and I'm not quite sure yet what to do. I want the RT performance, so that means 3080 but if I can find a way to hold out longer, chances are I'll hold out much longer when they start talking about the 3085 release or tell us 3080 Super or 3080 7NM will be around the corner.

Who knows.

There are far too many rumors at this point. It would go against all precedence for NV to move Ampere over to TSMC after starting on Samsung 8nm.

I was watching the latest ACG video yesterday where he talked about how bored he was of the AC formula for these last 3 games (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla), and he thought it was time to try something new.

Although I've only played Origins so far, I'm not sure I agree. I think this new formula is working pretty well, and the slow rollout of new things in each of these games is great.

What do you guys think?

I think if you've played Origins and Odyssey to death, then sure, you could be bored of the formula. Especially if you've gone for all the grindy quests, all the DLC, everything Ubisoft has put on the table over the last few years. The games are rich as hell in terms of content, but the main gameplay routines will only last so long before someone's had enough.

For me, I've only played the main campaigns of both games and hardly touched them after. So that's about a 70-120 hour playthrough each. I wouldn't mind doing that again with new characters in a new world. I am very fond of the series, but I'm not religiously attached to it either - I've always felt the games play it safe.
