I’m buying all the new tech this year, series X plays at 4K 60hz for this one so I figured I will give it a go on the series X. I know it’s redundant but I have hundreds of games in the Xbox ecosystem along with gamepass.

I've been tempted to play AC: Odyssey, but I'm gonna hold out for Valhalla. Just grabbed the pre-order. I dunno what it is, but these games are one of the few that I genuinely enjoy running around with no purpose lol.

Changed my mind and am trying Ubisoft+, Figuring just this game will cost me $106 with the expansion and I get all their other games. Also can quit and come back if need be.

Let me know what you think of it. I'm usually all over AC games but the setting of Valhalla does not excite me.

Will let you know, I've just enjoyed the gameplay of the last 2 so if they didn't change it drastically like they did Doom 2016. I should get many hours out of it. I guess the $15 for Ubisoft+ would also make it worth it as a try out if I dont end up liking it. The problem with having all these games though is we dont have an unlimited data cap with comcast.

You americans seriously need to revolt and destroy your ISP's, I can't even remember when I had a datacap... not sure I ever had one...

I have it on Ubisoft + because the price of ultimate is like 8 months of connect, and I can just cancel inbetween when I don't play, resub when I do, plus I will be playing Farcry 6/Settlers when they appear early next year too.

Oh we did a few years back until Capitalism took hold and they can make a ton more money off us if we go over. They pretended to be nice during the first 3 months of COVID with unlimited but were done with that before anything ever ended.

Odyssey and Origins were my favourite AC games. The only games where I dropped hours into doing everything. Prior to these titles, I did the main quests and then uninstalled just so I could say I played those AC games.

Valhalla isn't exciting me that much as Origins/Odyssey but I will drop them hours on it again.

I can't see that being true. The engine would have to go some major, major upgrades to bring the average framerate down that much from Odyssey.

Is this the same engine they've used since Wildlands? It can produce some sweet visuals but unless they upgraded it to Vulcan it can tank FPS easily.

never had one here too, but i remember there was a time before DSL where we actually had to pay for every connection....that must've been in the early 80's
