This game REALLY needs a performance patch. Even when framerates are "good", there's this constant hitching or microstutter that's extremely annoying, even when turning down details and dropping resolution. Installed on an NVME SSD so not a disc access issue.

Did a quick bench with everything maxed at 1440p, no RT.

Min: 14
Avg: 37
Max: 94

Tried again this time with RT enabled at high, was getting 5 to 13 fps.

Pretty sure I heard the GTX 1080 dial 000 (911 equivalent) and ask for help.

Maxed out at 1440P I am getting 68 FPS w/ RT and DLSS on quality and Image resolution something at 100%.

This game runs at 40-50 FPS outdoors and 60 indoors in the hideout (first intro section was 110 FPS and I was so happy).

This is with max settings except DLSS at Balanced and 1440P.

People with Radeon are going to have a bad time lol.

I wanted to get to playing it so I haven't spent much time with it off but in the benchmark, DLSS Quality and native 4k with TAA looked about the same but with more shimmering on native.

There is no way you can run this at 4k W/O DLSS as even with it, I dropped into the 30's at some points while driving.

I dropped down to 1080p on Medium (no RTX) just to test and this crappy stuttering still exists. It is literally ruining the game experience for me. The game is installed on an SSD.

Thinking this game was rushed without optimization.

No stuttering even when it was dropping into the 30s.

The extra detail setting was the reason I was dropping that low outdoors. I had it cranked all the way up.

Seeing the way this game beats up modern hardware I'm not surprised the game only runs at 30fps with Ray Tracing on Xbox Series X.

I just get the feeling that the majority of games these days are so poorly optimized and that once developers hit a certain minimum performance target they stop tuning the software in order to focus on other things or to make strict deadlines.

I've been burned by so many Ubisoft games having such bad bugs or performance I will NEVER buy one of their games until it's been out for at least 6 months

Yes the RTX reflections are simply amazing. I find myself just standing outside a store looking at just how well they're done. My only gripe is that there is way too many puddles in London, thus you see reflections all over.

I watched this guy's video and amazed there is none of the horrible microstutter I'm getting. I'll need to update drivers and do more testing later.

They went full out with RTX in this. Though DLSS leaves some more clarity to be desired IMO.

Updated drivers and still got that annoying stutter. Did some more testing and discovered the stutter is due to the in game vsync option. Seems to be somewhat broken.

Disabled vsync and capped framerates to either 30, 40 or 60fps. Or, enabled vsync in control panel. Either way the stuttering was gone.

Game is much more playable now, even at locked 30fps, than it was before. This is Ultra preset with Ray Tracing also set to Ultra and DLSS Performance at 4k.

I found dropping to Medium preset with RTX Ultra/DLSS Performance got me 60fps locked at 4k, but the IQ could be better.

Going to spend more time tinkering with a mix of options rather than playing the game now to try and find that perfect playable setting. Would have been nice to have been able to purchase a 3080 by now to play this stupid game.

Use the NVCP to cap framerate to 59fps. Better than running vsync anyway
