Default WinXP Fast user switching crashes my machine - It's a video card driver issue

I know it's a video card driver issue for my radeon DDR because when it gets the error it's always on ati2dvag.dll

That file doesn't exist, I believe, off a fresh install of XP.. it only comes from the driver set. I've tried the 3202 or whichever were made for XP a while back, 3224, 3226, and Omega drivers..

It doesn't happen ALL the time, but sometimes when fast-switching it crashes.

Anyone have this problem a well or know of a fix?

Yeah I see once in awhile but more often, when I use fast user switching the computer reboots when trying to logg on the next user..

heh, I get this problem all the time, especially when running directX games with the latest (3226) win2k beta's. It also tends to occur while ati tv is being minimized or whatnot. I cant wait for the first unified set, which I hope has some XP fixes in it. DirectX games run great on drivers that come with XP, it seems installing anything else just messes it up.

So far games and everything else are just fine.. Like QueZart more specifically explained.. when I switch out of my current user it's fine.. it's when I go to log in to the next user that it crashes/reboots.

Does anyone know what the ati2.. file does? I don't remember seeing it off the default drivers, so it's not THAT important to me, but if it's going to crash it I don't want it on my system.
