Default Just finished the Dark Tower series...
Fantastic. No other way to describe it. The ending was COMPLETELY unexpected, yet I should have known the entire time...

Also King is working on a new Dark Tower book.

it starts out really slow. it took me three tries to get past the first book. once i got half way through i couldn't put it down. great series from beginning to end.

I brought Stephen King's "IT" many moons ago because I heard some great things about it. Never picked it up.

I'm on Wolves of Calla still. Having a hard time finding the mood to just sit down and read. At this point I'm probably going to need to re read everything though.

I read "It" several years ago and it put such a bad taste in my mouth I swore off ever reading Stephen King again. Glad I changed my mind and decided to pick up the Dark Tower books. The series was great and the ending was perfect.

i enjoyed wolves of the calla because you got to know the characters a little better, i felt like i began to fully grasp what roland set out to do (and how he and other gunslingers 'workl' )and why susannah, jake, eddie, and even oy are following him.

the end was maddeningly a 'king-esque' end.

Dark Tower is probably my favourite book series. The first book was the worst one I'm glad I stuck through it all though!

I was like this at first, but I re-read it a while after (wanted to continue the serie) and it was much better the second time.

Initially I found it unnecessarily vulgar and I could see the arrogance of a young writer trying to shock people with some scene... The second time I read it I kinda knew what to expect so I "braced" myself for those parts.
