If you do have a console, though, you'd do somewhat better to play it there, at least for now while possible PC patches are pending.

This statement makes little sense to me.

Apart from the vsync issue, which may not affect everyone (word is people with nVidia cards seem to be able to get it to work), how is the PC version in any way worse than the console version provided you're playing a with a 360 pad?

How are you doing "somewhat better" by giving up 1080p or higher and 60fps? You're going to have to identify a reason why it's better on console to justify that statement.

Nvidia user here, and yes, Vsync doesn't work through the game for me, so I have to force it on in the Nvdia control panel.
Apart from that, zero issues with the game. I'm using a 360 gamepad, of course. Surely the load times must be better on a good pc too? I had the first Darksiders on PS3, and while it was great, I sold it and got the pc version when it was released, and found it a lot 'snappier'.

I agree with this, how is the version that is capped at 30fps with slowdowns better than the pc version that easily runs at 60fps on a crappy pc?

Pc version with a gamepad>the console version, it looks better, it runs better, and it is cheaper.

UI and controls are more important to me than 60 vs 30fps, and I hate using a gamepad at my desk. I realize not everyone will feel the same, but many do.

But you'd be using a gamepad if you're playing it on console...

So because of a personal hang up about the physical location in which you use a gamepad, you'd recommend a version of the game that has literally no technical advantage over the PC version. The only advantage being logistical and specific to a persons' individual home setup and their opinion about something highly subjective that you have no way of verifying is even close to be representative of any significant portion of the market.

Darksiders 2 undoubtedly feels more at home on consoles

Hmm well I completed the game but I didn't feel like it was a brilliant game, the combat is probably the best thing about it, but not GoW3 level, the story is OK wouldn't say its brilliant and the ending wasn't exactly decent. Maybe there are other endings and I just sucked through the game I don't know.

It felt like a Zelda dungeon romp, accept Zelda has more enjoyable elements to do in between dungeons and side quests, and the dungeons in Zelda games are memorable, I'll forgot about these in a week.

Overall a good game, Death is a cool character to play as , its a bit of a sloppy port, the low res Death model in the equip screen is inexcusable, and the lack of video options suck. Game runs really well but it doesn't have the visuals to run poorly really. The artwork style reminds suits it

Not played the first Darksiders, but I would probably have enjoyed that more.
