Gigabyte 7790 OC

The Gigabyte GV-R779OC is smaller than reference design PCB card, with a large central 100mm fan to cool the aluminum heatsink fins. The card is a dual slot design. The center of the fan is adorned with a holographic Gigabyte logo.

The Gigabyte 7790 OC ships with a factory overclocked core, running at 1075MHz engine. The memory is the reference 1GB GDDR5 running at 1500MHz / 6Gbps QDR.

Gigabyte keeps the side input power connection as well, and their PCB is much shorter than reference design but still longer than the PCI-E Graphics Slot. The heatsink covers two of the four memory chips, and a separate VRM heatsink is used. The fan is taller than the PCB.

The reference display output options have been changed, with the two mini-DisplayPort outputs replaced with a single full DisplayPort output. HDMI 1.4a and dual DVI (one single link, one dual link). Gigabyte ships their card with plastic dust protectors for all connections, except power input - a welcome touch.

The bundle includes driver CD (again - don't use it, grab the latest from AMD); dual 4-pin Molex to 6-pin PCI-E power adapter and an installation booklet. Woo.
