Designed to fill the $200 - $250 USD SEP point, AMD's ATI Radeon HD 5830 is intended to round out the AMD Enthusiast class, already ably populated by the Cypress Pro and XT models, a.k.a. the AMD ATI Radeon HD 5850 and HD 5870 cards.
Almost 7 months from introducing the first Evergreen series GPU, AMD have delivered a top-to-bottom stack of eleven DirectX 11 and Eyefinity, and now Stereoscopic 3D, capable add-in boards. Using the yield binned Cypress ASICs sent to them directly by AMD, partners are able to design their own boards and coolers to provide custom AMD ATI Radeon HD 5830 solutions.
