All told, the Sapphire HD 5830 offers a solid version of the AMD ATI Radeon HD 5830. The game edition has a nice value add with the included software and accessory bundle, even if it is a title most serious FPS gamers will already have since it's release a few months ago. Ideally a fresher title would have been included, but its not like MW2 is hackneyed and played out ... well, ok, maybe it is, but that's only due to its immense popularity and the continuing development of the Call of Duty franchise.

Two HD 5830s are more than enough to power an enthusiast rig, so if you're of a mind to try out CrossFireX to experience the enhanced Custom Filtering modes (16xAA), this could be a nice way to go. The fan design is quieter and more efficient than the stock design, but Sapphire's custom PCB orients the power connectors rearward which might be an issue for some case designs. The four power phases didn't seem to hold it back, although long term overclocks might benefit from the Cypress XT PCB's standard five.

Rage3D awards the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5830 Call Of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 4 stars! The only real sticking point here is the price - at $269USD it stomps right on the toes of the HD 5850, which has a lot more power than even the high overclocking performance of this CoD:MW2 HD 5830. It's by all accounts a very competent and well performing card, that really is needing some non-AMD competition to give it a run for its money. As far as HD 5830s go, the Sapphire implementation is top notch.
