Staying with the reference clocks of the AMD ATI Radeon HD 5830, Sapphire's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 edition is clocked at 800MHz / 1000MHz. The retail box is premium sized like the Sapphire HD 5850 Toxic, thicker than the standard Sapphire product packages. The retail price is fatter, too, with a $20 USD premium over the standard, non-game edition Sapphire HD 5830.

Other than the included game, the other differences are the card artwork, continuing the COD:MW2 theme.
Sapphire Package
Inside the sturdy, 100% recyclable box, the card is safely packaged in Sapphires usual bubble-padded electro-statically safe bag. A separate small box holds the accessories, including two lengthy 4-pin power to 6-pin PCIe power connector adapter cables, an ArcSoft SimHD CD, Sapphire Driver CD, DVI to VGA adapter, Sapphire case badge, 100mm flexible CrossFireX connector and, of course, the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 steam key.

Physically the card is near identical to a HD 5870, being the same length thanks to the shared PCB. Two DVI outputs are included, as well as a single HDMI and full size DisplayPort outputs.
Heatsink, Fan and PCB
The cooler uses a copper base with five heatpipes running through it, to aluminum fins on both side of the GPU. The memory is bare, with no heatsink or obviously apparent direct air flow from the fan. The four VRM's are equipped with a large aluminum heatsink, screw mounted with a thermal pad. The rear of the plastic heatsink shroud does not cover the rear of the heatsink entirely, leaving a small air gap above the two rear facing 6-pin PCIe power connectors.

Equipped with what appear to be nearly all solid Japanese capacitors, there are still a couple of standard dielectric capacitors dotted around on the card. The rear of the card is bare, missing the AMD standard rear heatsink backplane cover seen on other HD 5800 series reference designs. The Samsung RAM might not overclock as well due to the lack of direct ventilation, but this may be mitigated if a suitable high airflow case is used.
