The EVGA GeForce GTX 570 SC ships in a box very similar to EVGA's GTX 580 SC we recently reviewed. The box features the usual window into the soul, showing the card's affixed product number and serial so you can match it to the box. Like the GTX 580 SC, the GTX 570 SC is a hefty 3lbs and similarly sized.

The card graphics feature a very striking and stylish fade graphic, identical in design to the 580 SC but in red. This is reflected on the box art, too. The card retains the size and layout of the GTX 580, and the packaging is likewise - a sturdy, solid crush proof container for the card and accessories. Included in the box are two 4-pin Molex to 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors, in case your recommended minimum 550W PSU with 38A 12v rail isn't so equipped. You also get a huge EVGA 'death skull' poster, a mini-HDMI to full HDMI adapter, a case badge and a DVI-VGA adapter.

The GeForce GTX 570 features 2 dual-link DVI outputs and a mini-HDMI 1.4a output, of which two maybe used a time. The outputs are in-line, leaving a full height PCI backplane slot to vent the cooler.

The GeForce GTX 570 has a different power phase design than the GTX 580, featuring four phases with overvolt support for the GPU and two phases for the memory (one for the chips, one for the bus). Power is supplied by two PCI-Express 6-pin power connectors, down from the GTX 580's 6-pin + 8-pin requirement.

The heatsink and shroud are affixed to the card using Torx screws, instead of the usual Phillips design, temporarily thrwarting our attempts to pull the heatsink and show you the Vapor chamber design.  The GTX 570's cooler design is different from the 580 cooler, but still presented to be more effective than the GTX 470's heatpipe direct touch style, and cheaper.

Software

New versions of EVGA Precision, E-leet and OC Tuner are available for download, compatible with the GeForce GTX 570 SC. As usual, these tools offer overlocking and voltage control and burn-in/stability testing options for the EVGA GeForce GTX 570 SC. Additionally, EVGA are today releasing an update to improve the fan speed range available. NVIDIA specifies a 40% minimum fan speed and an 80% maximum fan speed limit on the GeForce GTX 570, and EVGA's Fan Speed update extends this to a lower bound of 30% and increases the upper limit to 100%. Combined with EVGA Precision's ability to create custom fan profiles, you can make your EVGA GeForce product perform and sound how you want.
