R423 Core
While all X800GT cards share the same basic specs with each other (8 pixel pipes with a 475MHz core and 490MHz memory), they can be built on any one of three different ATI graphics cores: the R423, R430, or R480. Ths X800GT that HIS sent me is built on ATI's R423 graphics core, a native PCI-Express core built on TSMC's 130nm low-
k manufacturing process using 160 million transistors (the core itself is actually etched with the Radeon X800SE name). In fact, it's entirely possible that even if you buy the same X800GT IceQII Turbo it might be built with one of the other core.
