Specifications & Features

The most striking thing about the 9200SE is it's size. It looks as if it is the same PCB used on earlier half-height cards (a nice touch would have been to include a half-height bracket in the box). A card like the 9200SE would have been a perfect choice for a business user who enjoys the odd 3D game now and then, but the lack of a DVI port might well turn off those types of users. It's a shame that Sapphire chose to drop the DVI port, a more convenient option would have been to drop the VGA in favour of the DVI port and provide a DVI-VGA dongle in the box, but price is the deciding factor and every bit counts I guess.

Below is a chart which details some of the specifications of the Sapphire 9200SE along with the specs of the two other cards I will be using in this review: the Sapphire 9000 and the MSI Geforce FX5200-TD128. Neither of them are more than $20US over the 9200SE price (street).
