Could we PLEASE stop the worship?!

Ok, I'm gonna get flamed anyway, but it's getting to the point where I can't stand reading through this site anymore, which is a shame, because it's the best ATI/Radeon site around.

I've owned a GeForce SDR, and a Radeon 32DDR. They're both nice cards. The GTS is a nice card. The Radeon 64 is a nice card. They've all got good points and bad points.

Could you all PLEASE get over it?

Yeah, it's annoying when Nvidiot comes in and pipes up with some BS numbers or flame bait tripe, but what's even more annoying are the dozens upon dozens of posts that amount to no more than:

"I love my card! Whee!"

It's a graphics card. It's a nice graphics card. That's all.. Let it go. You guys are one step away from dancing around your computer with your underwear on your heads chanting, "I love ATI, I love ATI..."

When someone asks for information, can't we stick to the facts? I mean, hell.. It's the prettiest card, the second fastest, it plays great in most games. It has a few flaws in others.

I don't care if it was faster than the GTS at 32 bit color out of the box. That's old news. It's not fastest now.

I don't care if the color vibrancy makes you see visions of God in your dreams. Just close your eyes, take deep breaths, and tell yourself, "It's just a graphics card. It'll be obsolete in a month or two, anyway."

Don't slam people who are having trouble getting their card installed.

Don't slam people who aren't as enraptured by the whole Radeon experience as you are.

Slam Nvidiots who flame, but it only takes one post to do it, not 52.

Remember, this is just a message board, not a religious cult.

Sorry, let the flames begin, I just had to get that off my chest.

I can't dance around my computer it's under my desk, but sometimes I just sit with my underwear on my head...
 
Yeah man ... I totally agree. In the postings I have made, I have only tried to reassure the point about why *I* decided to buy my card.. there aint no point about getting all emotional and wound up about it. Its just a piece of computer hardware.
 
I just don't like people who think they say they could write better drivers / apps / games, and are deflamatory to people such as tech support, and elctronic / software engineers.. These peole have no respect. And so are treated duely.

It is extremely complex and a black art to design/write hard/software and for PC's

Most of the people complaining on this forum (and all others) have no idea.
 
Looks like you can take off your flame-retardant bodysuit Grimm, it seems like most people agree with you. There is no denying loyalty to a product although some people just take it too far, it's a byproduct of the fierce competition between ATi, nVidia, and 3Dfx (let's not rule them out just yet either).

You're right though, the slamming could come down a notch or two for sure...
 
I agree, this thing is getting way outta hand. They will bash competitors cards like theres no tomorrow. They will complain about the little things that dont matter to the majority of people. They will call alliegance to one card over another and worship that thing like its family.
Geez, i just dont get some of these people.
Its very strange.
Half the posts here are about problems, the other half is about "my card is the best, because its 5fps difference is soo god damn noticiable" and the like.

I guess some people just dont know when to quit. I wish it would end right now, and return to problem/solving posts and maybe some off topic humorous stuff ;).
 
I don't worship my Radeon (except in my satanic rituals), i just hapen to appreciate the hardware. However i wrote a very objective (and long) comparison of GF2 vs. Radeon drivers (which seem to be the biggest issue) and you know what i found out, there is no one clear winner, it is just which is more suitable to each person. So yes people have been going crazy in worship of a card, but it is hard not to blame them, but it is starting to get old now. Just like the whole release to release comparison of GF2 and Radeon.

Hahahah funny line to come up with ATi users eh? :D Im just glad this Nvidia VS. ATi war is over..I can't believe how we got spammed with the unregisters(Nvidia users ;))maybe it's jealousy? I agree completely. I don't care if my card is made by ATI, nVidia, or Toyota; I just want it to work, and it does for me. However, if nVidia made a better card for a good price I'd drop ATI like a slab of beef; I hold no loyalty to any company. That's just childish (remember the Chevy vs Ford arguments when you were in grade school; sadly some people haven't outgrown it).
