We're having twins!

So, when we confirmed my wife was pregnant, I told her we were having twins. She laughed, but I was serious. In fact, I insisted we make sure our new F150 would accommodate 3 child seats (we have a 2 yo boy).

A week ago, she experienced some spotting and pain and asked me to come home from my overtime shift to take her to the hospital. We got an ultrasound and the doctor kept saying "huh" and "you see that? Oh, I lost it". So, finally she have us a view of what she said might be twins, but to come back in a week.

We were there for our appointment this morning and the doc was viewing the images. I asked if it was twins and she said "oh, no. Just the one. Looks good, obviously bigger. Oh. Oh. I'm sorry, I spoke too soon. They are just so close together. Two heart beats. They appear to be sharing the same sac, so probably identical". We are ~8 weeks pregnant.

I was expecting it. My wife was stunned. We are super excited, but have to change our financial plans. My lease is up on the Yaris next month. I need a van to go along wih my truck.

Any suggestions on a van? Or about raising twins? Boy, I can't sleep.

Congrats ! Man, from one kid to three, you're gonna get it :D :D

We have a Grand Caravan... ok car but for 20k these past years it was the best deal we could get.
 
I have pyshic ability too. I even know that if we were to have a third kid it will be a daughter.
I also know that my Brother will have 3 daughters before he has a son (he has 2 daughters now and already his wife had a miscarriage for a third one).

Anyways, congrats bud. Hope it all turns out well. The other day at the hospital I saw twins that were born early. They were too damn cute in their nice overpriced Quinny stroller. Holy crap, I think I might have stolen someone's baby if my wife didn't stop me.

I can't wait for my second son to be born.

Heh, just my gut. I can pick scores for hockey games quite often or pin point when a team will fall apart. This works until I make a small bet.

As you might be aware, my wife's genetics will determine the release of multiple eggs. As for an egg that splits, making identical or paternal twins, that **** just happens.
 
Congrats man. As for a Van, if you are looking for long term, get Honda Odyssey or a Toyota Sienna. If you are looking for cheap, Dodge Caravan.

I can get a Sienna provided it is around an '09 with 80k or kms. It would not have the same options such as stow n' go seats that similarly priced Grajd Caravans have that at '12/'13 and have 20-30k kms.

We bith think we'll have girls, though we won't know until around 20 weeks.

So can you tell what sex they are? I'm happy for you either way, but God help your poor soul if you get twin girls. Buddy I know had twin girls...had a full head of brown hair at 30, by 35 he was going grey and was thinning (genetics weren't at fault here either) :lol:
 
In regards to your car situation, my friend was pretty much identical to you. After playing around with many ideas, they ended up getting a used Honda Odyssey.
